Q: Can I pay with a debit card?
Yes, we accept both debit and credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and Maestro.
Please note: A 3.25% processing fee applies to American Express (Credit & Debit), MasterCard (Credit & Debit), and Visa (Credit & Debit).
Q: Will the franchise (excess) be blocked on my card?
Q: How much is the franchise (excess)?
The standard franchise is Rs 25,000. For drivers under 25, it is Rs 30,000. Note: You only pay the franchise if damage occurs. For light scratches or minor dents, the charge is usually between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000, depending on severity.
Q: Do I get a refund if I return the car earlier than planned?
No, refunds are not issued for unused days if you return the vehicle before the scheduled end of your rental
Q: Can I reserve a specific model or colour?
We cannot guarantee a specific model or colour. However, you will receive a vehicle from the same category as your booking. If that category is unavailable, we’ll provide an upgrade or similar alternative at no extra cost.
Q: Can I drive with my foreign driving licence in Mauritius?

All rentals come with unlimited mileage.

Q: Where should I go to get the car upon my arrival?
At SSR International Airport, proceed to Arrival Gates 5–6. Our agent will meet you with a sign, guide you to the vehicle, and complete the paperwork on-site.
Q: What type of fuel does my car use?
Your car will run on either petrol or diesel, depending on the model. Our agent will inform you, and fuel station attendants can also assist if needed.
Q: How much fuel is provided when I receive the car?
We operate a “same-to-same” fuel policy. You return the car with the same level of fuel it had at delivery. We do not guarantee a full tank.
Q: What do I need to present at pickup of the car?
At the time of pickup, you must present a valid driving licence and a passport or national ID. If you’ve booked online, your booking confirmation may also be requested for verification.

You must inform KLS Car Rental via WhatsApp or email. The fine should be settled at the time of drop-off.

Q: What should I do if I want to extend my rental?
Please contact us via WhatsApp or email at least 48 hours in advance. We’ll confirm availability and send you a confirmation.

Q: Can I extend my rental on short notice?
Yes, just contact us at least 24 hours before your return time, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your extension.
Q: What should I do if I have an accident with my rental vehicle?
- Ensure everyone’s safety. Call emergency services if needed.
- Do not move the vehicle unless necessary.
- Fill out the Agreed Statement Form found in the glove box. Both parties must sign it.
- Submit the form at drop-off.

- Take photos of the damage and scene.
- Collect the other party’s details (name, plate number, insurance info).
If the vehicle is severely damaged, a replacement car will be arranged promptly.
Q: Where do I drop off the car at the airport?
At the end of your rental, return the vehicle to Departure Gates 11–17. Our agent will meet you there, inspect the car, and finalise the return process.
Q: Can I return my rental car to a different location?

Charges may apply if:
- The fuel level is lower than at delivery (fuel charge applies).
- There are minor scratches, dents, or interior stains (repair/cleaning fees apply).
