1. Scope & Acceptance
These Terms govern all bookings, rentals, transfers, and related services by KLS Car Rental Ltd (“KLS”, “we”, “us”). Booking via web, WhatsApp, partners, or in person constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.
2. Bookings & Confirmations
- Quotes are indicative until confirmed; availability/rates may change until payment or deposit.
- If your chosen model is unavailable, an equal or superior category may be provided.
- Confirmation includes pickup/return, locations, vehicle category, pricing, and add‑ons.
3. Pricing & Taxes
- Prices include taxes unless stated; extras/upgrades are additional.
- Prices are shown in MUR; FX rates may apply for international cards.
- We may adjust prices prior to confirmation for tax/supplier changes.
4. Payments & Deposits
- Payment methods: secure link, card, or cash (where available).
- Refundable deposit and/or pre‑authorisation may be required; released after inspection/settlement.
- Fraud checks and ID verification may be required prior to handover.
5. Changes / Extensions / No‑Shows
- Subject to availability and revised rates.
- No‑shows may incur fees up to the value of the first day or per confirmation.
- Early returns may be non‑refundable unless stated on your confirmation.
6. Driver Eligibility
- Minimum age 23; valid licence held for ≥ 1 year. Young driver policy applies to ≤ 25.
- All drivers must be authorised and named on the agreement.
- International Driving Permit recommended if licence is not in English/French.
7. Vehicle Use & Restrictions
- Public roads in Mauritius only; no off‑road, racing, towing, or beach driving.
- No driving under the influence; no handheld device use while driving.
- No smoking or vaping inside the vehicle; cleaning fees may apply.
8. Insurance & Excess
Basic insurance is included, subject to franchise/excess. Reduced‑Excess and Premium Cover may be offered. Insurance may be void in cases of breach (DUI, unauthorised driver, prohibited use). See our Insurance Policy.
9. Damage, Theft & Liability
- Renter liable up to the applicable franchise for at‑fault or undetermined‑fault incidents.
- Tyres, rims, windscreen, and underbody may be excluded from standard cover; upgrades can reduce exposure.
- Loss of keys, misfuelling, interior damage, and accessories are chargeable.
11. Fuel, Cleanliness & Smoking
- Fuel policy: Same‑to‑Same; refuelling fees apply if returned lower.
- Cleaning charges may apply for excessive dirt, sand, stains, or odours (incl. smoke).
12. Fines & Admin Fees
- Renter responsible for traffic/parking fines incurred during the rental.
- An administrative fee may apply for processing fines or third‑party requests.
13. Cancellations & Refunds
- Unless stated on your confirmation: free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup.
- No‑show fees may apply. Partial refunds for early returns are discretionary unless guaranteed in writing.
14. Website & Content Use
Website content (copy, images, logos) is owned by KLS or licensors. Do not copy, scrape, or reuse without permission. Information is provided “as is” without warranty.

We process personal data to deliver services and comply with law. See our Privacy Policy and cookie notice.
16. Promotions & Vouchers
- Promo codes and vouchers are subject to expiry and specific conditions.
- Not combinable with other offers unless expressly stated.
17. Force Majeure
KLS is not liable for delays or non‑performance caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, strikes, outages, natural disasters, government action).
18. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. Courts of Mauritius have jurisdiction unless mandatory law states otherwise.
